Bay Week is one of the largest fresh-water events in the United States with boats hailing from all over the Great Lakes and Canada.  And this year, Lake Erie Multihull Championship and Rendezvous will again be part of this Annual Event.  This event is open to all Corsair Boat, Farrier Boats, and Offshore Multihulls. 

We have all the necessary elements required to put on a great regatta.  We have the world's greatest venue.  We have the Lake Erie Islands and we have the wind. We have the Weekend Format (Fri, Sat, Sun) which has proven to be so popular with the NOOD Regattas. We will have a Social Package. We have On-line Registration and Yacht Scoring.  This event is open to the Corsair Boats, Farrier Boats, and Offshore Multihulls.  The Corsairs will race a series of Round-the-Buoys and Round-the-Islands Races.  We will have a Casual Cruising Class for Non-racers and Jib and Main Boats. Corsair Boats will be using GLMRA and LEM Ratings.  Go to:  Lake Erie Multihulls Website.

Sandusky Sailing Club - Deepwater Race to the Bay – Thursday, August 4th 

The Sandusky Deepwater Race is a separate race with separate registration, separate fees, scoring, and awards. See Notice of Race at Yacht Scoring.  Pre-registration only for this event at Yacht Scoring.
Registration Deadline for the Deepwater Race is 11:59pm, Sunday, July 24, 2016.  Entry fee is $45.
Registrations received after the deadline may be subject to a late fee of $10.00

Wednesday Night, August 3rd:  Wednesday Night is Race Night at Sandusky Sailing Club.  Join Club Members for After Race Burgers and Beer. Meet and greet, with other Corsair and Offshore Multihull Sailors.  
Racers will have dockage (included) at SSC, with access to bathrooms and showers on the grounds.  There is a hoist at SSC and ramp launching at several locations nearby.  The Put-in-Bay JET EXPRESS  people Ferry leaves out of Downtown Sandusky about every 2 hours. Thursday, August 3rd:   SSC will serve as Race Headquarters for the Deepwater Race to Put-in-Bay, South Bass Island.  As part of this Feeder Race, participants will race or cruise over to Put-in-Bay by way of the iconic Marblehead Lighthouse.  Find the Notice of Race at Yacht Scoring: www.yachtscoring.com.  Cross the finish line at South Bass Island and sail into the harbor at Put-in-Bay where dockage will be assigned. The 2016 Lake Erie Multihull Championship and Rendezvous will be held in concert with the I-LYA Bay Week Regatta August 5-7, 2016.  This will be a GLMRA and LEM Counter!
The Offshore Multihulls will race a series of Round-the-Buoys and Round-the-Islands Races.  We will have a Casual Cruising Class for Non-racers and Jib and Main Boats.
Registration Deadline for the Regatta is 11:59pm, Sunday, July 17, 2016.  See Notice of Race for your Entry fee. Registrations received after the deadline may be subject to a late fee of $35. 
On-shore Registration at PIBYC will start at 4:00pm, Thursday, August 4, 2016.  Pick up your Race Packets and Social Package Wristbands!

Put-in-Bay, South Bass Island - Racing and Cruising Destination!

 As a resort community, Put-in-Bay has been called the "Key West of the North" and "the Playground for Adults." South Bass Island offers plenty to do for the whole family....shopping, dining, sightseeing, or choosing from the many types of outdoor recreation.  Climb to the top of Perry's Monument where you will gain a Bird's eye view of the Lake Erie Islands and Canada. Landlubbers can tour the island by bike, golf cart or tour train. The adventurous can try parasailing or kayaking.  The kids may want to try mining for gems at Perry's Cave or exploring the inside of the World's Largest Geode at Crystal Cave.

Lake Erie Islands – A Great Cruising Destination!

Casual Cruising Class - We will have a Cruising Class for Non-racers and Jib & Main Boats.  Cruisers will have a separate start and finish line with a starting window for a no - pressure start.  Cruisers will sail one Round-the-Islands Course each day.  They will enjoy same Social Package, Parties and Activities as the racing fleet. 
The Cruising Fleet will have the option to race each day, or explore the nearby Lake Erie Islands.   Explore Middle Bass Island just across the channel.  Take a day sail to Kelley's Island.  Anchor off the beach.  Wade into shore. Hike the Natures Trails ....enjoy the flora and fauna.  Explore the Glacial Grooves.  Explore the local pubs or wineries.  But don't be late for the parties!!

After the regatta, take a cruise to the nearby Pelee Island or Leamington, Canada.  Or take a short cruise to Cedar Point Marina to enjoy the Roller Coast!  We've got it all!
